Weezie Parry is a licensed social worker who provides psychological services to children and families.  Weezie values a strong therapeutic relationship. She works to establish rapport, using good listening skills and emphasizing collaboration, in order to build a supportive team around the client and family.

Weezie enjoys working with children. As soon as the needs of the family are understood, she creates and implements intervention strategies that help to restore balance and wellness to the client and to the family system as a whole.

Professional Trainings

Weezie’s interest in working with children and families began as an educator in a school setting. Weezie combines years of classroom experience with her clinical social work training and now provides counseling in both private practice and school settings.

Weezie helps individuals develop effective coping strategies, build positive self-esteem, address troublesome fears and worries, as well as enhance positive peer and family relationships. Play therapy is central to Weezie’s work. She is trained in play therapy, filial therapy, sand tray therapy, as well as cognitive-behavioral therapy.

Weezie treats a wide variety of mental health issues with a special interest in attention issues, transition and adjustment challenges, anger, anxiety, depression, stress, issues stemming from divorce, parenting and relational difficulties, poor self-esteem, and social skills deficits.

Working effectively as part of a resource team to support and promote the social emotional development of children and families is a strength.  Weezie works collaboratively with other professionals involved with the client’s treatment, including schools, psychologists, and physicians to promote academic, emotional and behavioral success.
