Laura Clement is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC Boards of Social Work. Laura works with children, adolescents, and their families and has received extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT).  Laura’s experience addressing client needs has spanned an array of environments. She has worked in a private practice, as a Mental Health Clinician for DC Public Schools, and in a child and adolescent outpatient mental health clinic in New York City. She has extensive experience interacting with school staff and helping parents attain additional services for their child within a school setting. 

Laura has a wide range of expertise intreating personal challenges for her clients, including anxiety, anger problems, attention deficit disorders, depression, parenting and relational issues, grief and loss, post traumatic stress disorder, trauma, and transitions.  When needed, she works with other professionals in the client’s life, such as school staff, psychologists, and physicians, to enable a more coordinated effort to help the client achieve personal success.
